I think where I live in Northern California is one of the few places in the U.S. that's not super, super hot. Canadianfriend, We’ve gotten some lightning but no rain. With the lightning comes the grass fires.
We might see snow a couple of times a year. Freezing cold here is anything below 30 LOL. That’s one thing going for Texas–we have milder winters.
