I have to admit, I was not in the Christmas spirit this year. Our daughter’s children are 14, 15 and 18. They want tech stuff, money and clothes—boring! I did get the tree up, I’ve done some shopping, but I haven’t wrapped any presents.
But then, yesterday we got news that our son and d-i-l’s first baby will be a boy! (Due May 12th) Excitement filled the air!!! Trucks and cars and toys that make noise—OH MY! The excitement is back!!!!
It’s funny how children can bring back the spirit of Christmas 🙂
Hugs,
Karen Kelly
Congratulations on the upcoming grandson! I’ve got three boys and I can remember the days of loud noisy boys and even louder toys. Especially the guns that have lights and fire lasers with all the sound effects!
Some days I would trade my sullen cranky teens in to have one more day with them as little kids, even with all the noise!
Thanks, Lisa, we’re really excited. It has been way too long since there were babies around. Christmas just seems a whole lot brighter now 🙂
Congrats on the good news. We have a 2 and half year old girl to enjoy this christmas. My great niece was just 1 1/2 last year and a bit clueless. I am sure this year will be different. I love shopping for her. I can’t wait.
Karen, what a wonderful early Christmas gift for you and your family. Congratulations and very best wishes!
Patricia
Ohhhh, that’s such a fun age, Judy!
Thanks so much, Patricia! We’re uber excited 🙂
