The winner of Anne Rainey’s contest is…

jganderson45

Joni’s comment started:

Yes, I had several crushes throughout gradeschool, none in highschool because once I found out they were either taken or too arrogant for me, my crush never fully bloomed and a couple co-workers over the years I worked as a secretary…haha. But the one I had a crush on for what seemed like forever started in the second grade when I attended parochial school and continued on until I moved away to another state after I married my hubby.

Joni, if you’ll email me @ shilohwalker at gmail.com  – I’ll get you hooked up with Anne.

Anne, thanks for guest-blogging and thanks to all the commenters!

Hey guys… sorry, I’m running behind drawing the winner’s name.  The winner of Patrice’s contest is

Crystal who commented

I do believe in fate. I think my husband and I getting together was fate. We knew each other years ago and had lost contact. My brother had forgotten to pay his water bill and my future husband came to collect the money and we were able to reconnect and had a whirlwind romance and got married. It has been almost 5 years now

Crystal, I need you to email me @ shilohwalker@gmail.com

Thanks to all who participated!

The winner drawn for the copy of Patrice’s upcoming release, SCIONS: RESURRECTION is…Laura J

Laura commented

One book I remember from my childhood as being a favorite is Where the Wild Things Are. My oldest son for his first halloween was Max from the book. I even made his costume.

Laura win’s the copy of SCIONS: RESURRECTION. Laura, I need you to email me @ shilohwalker@gmail.com and put “scions” in the subject line.

Everyone believed vampires were extinct.

Everyone was wrong.

When Ariel Swanson wrote a novel about vampires, she hoped it would exorcise her fear of the creatures that had, not so long ago, terrorized the human population.Instead, it brought her to their attention.

And to the attention of Jachin Black—a man banished from the Sanguinas, a vampire clan, and forced to hunt among the despised humans. For he clung to the prophecy given years ago, of a better way for his kind to live… a prophecy Ariel unknowingly used as the basis of her novel.

Ariel hates and fears vampires. Jachin despises humanity. But the prophesy—and passion—bind them in ways they could never have imagined. Ways that may heal the past, and change the future…

Oops on my part.

Meljean’s contest winner was Lori.

Lori commented

Hi Meljean~
What a great cover! I love it!! I think that you can learn lots of things from reading romance books. I have learned a lot about history that I did not know…of course, at this moment I cannot remember any one thing. I know that things I have read about have come in handy while playing trivia games. Everytime you pick up a book….you learn a little about the place where the story is based.

Lori, I need you to email me @ shilohwalker@gmail.com so I can get you hooked up with Meljean.

Tomorrow we have another guest…Patrice Michelle! Check in tomorrow!

And the winners are….

Okay… as always, I drew the winners by their IP address. Each IP address, no matter how many comments, only gets into the pot one time, keeps it fair for all.

The winners drawn were…

Kelly H who commented

Wonderful blog! I never really thought of reading as dress-up but it is definitely true. These days I generally prefer to escape in a romance where there is always a happy ending. However, I do occassionally “dress-up” as a forensic scientist or private investigator. And there are always those times when a girl needs to be a little naughty. ;)

And Stacia H who commented

I don’t really do a whole lot of real life dressing up for Halloween. Usually, if I do I am just a boring old witch or vampiress. I suppose it’s because I’m either too lazy or normally broke around Halloween so I can’t afford an extravagent costume & I have no sewing skills so I can’t even make my own. However, I do love to imagine that I have the most extraordinary costumes and one of my favorite is a dark angel with real feather wings. That’s what I’m being for Halloween this year in my head. And I even have an amazing body to go with it – if only :o)

Ladies, I need you to email me shilohwalker@gmail.com and put Jennifer Estep’s blog in the subject line… otherwise I might lose it or the spam filter might eat it. As always, you need to email me so I can get you hooked up with Jennifer to get your prize. If I don’t hear from you within a few days, another winner might be drawn.

Thanks to everybody who dropped by!
